This morning I had the pleasure of heading down into St. Paul to meet up with sweet Jane, an inquisitive, darling 15 month old toddler. (Whose birthday is just one day before mine! Well, I have a few decades on her, but still. I love meeting other June babies!)

Like most kids (and adults!) she was a little unsure of the crazy lady with the big camera at first …

But she warmed up quickly …

Amy and Nick are expecting their first child next month. Well, their first human child, anyway. They’re already the proud parents of a 4-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Angie & Phil are expecting their first baby next month. I met up with them at their home to capture this special time, as they wait on baby’s arrival.

They are Seed to Sprout clients, which means I’ll be meeting up with them once their little one comes, and again at 6 and 12 months. I’m so excited to be able to capture baby’s first year.

I had a chance to spend the day with my niece and nephew when I was in Ohio last week. My niece, Elizabeth, is 8 weeks old. Michael is 3 years old, and no longer looks at all like a baby!

One of my bridesmaids was 26 weeks pregnant at our wedding on May 2, 2008, and her baby girl was born that August, after I’d moved to Minnesota. I hate being so far away from her, but I feel lucky that I’ve been able to make trips to Atlanta to see her (and photograph her!) several times in her short life.

But this Labor Day, SHE came to me! Molly Beth, her mama Sarah, and our friend Mary came to visit me. We went to the MN State Fair, and I took lots of pictures of MB to celebrate her recent first birthday!

My best friend Melissa had a baby girl on August 18, and I was lucky enough to be able to visit them in Cincinnati last week. One of the joys of aging (ha) is seeing your old friends transistion to new roles. It is a trip, but I love it.
